I have someone on my wrestling team who really annoys me. I've known him since for a few years10th grade now and he's in the same grade as me. When we were on the cross-country team he would ask me if I'm going to beat him at the meets. I'd say yes and then he'd end up beating me and saying how come you didn't beat me and he'd just keep carrying on. Meanwhile he weighs 110 and I weigh 190 and it's easier for him to run a 5k than me because he's so light. Then a few weeks before wrestling season he'd be telling me how many matches I'm going to win (about 10 out of 30) . Then on time I brought my trombone home to practice and before wrestling practice it didn't fit in the locker so I left it outside the locker. Then I'd go back into the locker room and find my trombone in the locker. It took a few tries to pull it out and it ripped off part of the material on the outside of the case. Later he'd tell me that he put it in there so no one would steal it. (This is continued below)

One day after a match we were putting the mats away and people were putting the mat away and I saw them going towards the folding chairs so I moved the folding chairs and he told me that there are clothes there and they weren't going towards the chairs and he told me to use my brain and to think sometimes when I didn't see the clothes on the ground and all I was doing was trying to help. After practice one day I got changed and went in the wrestling room to weigh my self and he was in there and I knew he was going to ask why did change and put clothes when I was going to take them off again. Also at a match one time he said I was going to lose because I was going varsity meanwhile our coach recommends me going varsity and he's in a 112 weight class and I'm in a 189 So who's he to tell me what to wrestle. he also says mean things like, weight training won't help me become a better wrestler and I was just there to support the cross-country team. What should I do to make him stop?

wow what a douchebag! guys like this are so hard to deal with bc of course they think everything they do is either completely justified or they are trying to be "hard" or they think they are hilarious....i would say something but not in a mean way or talk to your coach. he sounds immature...good luck

Why do you feel it's necessary to have this guy dictate to you and harass you? He's obviously much smaller physically than you are, and yet you sound like you're afraid of displeasing him and consequently, letting him lead you around by the nose. For heaven's sake, tell him to bug off, or just laugh at him and ignore his remarks. Be a man and not a mouse. Or better yet, be a lion. No one can make disparaging remarks about you, or to you, unless you let him, which you obviously are doing. He's not your keeper, but you're giving him that distinction. It's like a tarantula being afraid of a flea. If you're worried about losing the friendship, believe me, you'll be better off without him if you find it impossible to stand up for yourself. The choice is yours! Good luck!
