Is it true that you get pregnant faster when you have sex during your period?

you only get pregnant when you ovulate. that normally happens about 14 days after the start of your period. there is a pretty short time that the egg is viable to be fertilized. So its not like you can get pregnant at anytime. Now sperm can live for several days or even a little more than several so if you have sex before you ovulate you can become pregnant because the sprem is "sitting around waiting" for that egg to be released. Another thing to consider is that if you have a short cycle whether you have one normally or by chance this once, they your egg will be released before that 14th day. Therefore you would get pregnant closer to the end of your period.

having sex during your period is not a guarantee that you will not get pregnant. It makes it more unlikely that it will happen but its not impossible for sure.

But it definately doesn't make it more likely that you would get pregnant.

thats not true.. you get pregnant faster if you have sex while you ovulate.. but there is a chance you can get pregnant at any time of the month!

No. Not at all. First of all, it's very hard to get pregnant at all during your period because you are not ovulating at that time. You have to be ovulating to be pregnant. Second, I don't think that sperm live well in the vagina during your cycle. They need fertile cervical mucous which occurs durng ovulation. It would also be hard for the sperm to travel to the cervix during menstration.
