I know that all viruses and trojans are bad but i found this this trojan with avast "win32-agent-OLD [trj]" which was free to download and i could find it with Kaspersky. So i was wondering if it was really bad and i should be watching my bank accounts and ssn?

I would say that it is bad, because it is a "keylogger Trojan".

Fail to understand what you mean by, "free to download"

Depends on how long the Trojan has been your system, before you performed a scan with Kaspersky to delete the Trojan Keylogger. (Yes I think that you should notify your bank of this and have to watch your account for any strange activity).

Especially if you have given out your SSI.

I hope that when you deleted the trojan with kaspersky, that you performed a reboot of your system. Run a second scan to make sure there are no traces of the trojan left.

Turn off system restore if you have that enabled, then run your antivirus scan. You can find that by right clicking on the My Computer icon, select properties, then select the system restore tab. Put a check in the box that says to turn it off. You will be wanting to get rid of that keylogger completely. System restore is set by default on XP. Run your antivirus scan and reboot and then set your restore point then turn system restore back on as before ..everything that "Mind Doctor says is true, be very careful about putting our personal info.
