I see people complaining about paying $3.17 per gallon but think nothing of paying $4.35 for a Venti mocha. Am I missing something here?

You hit the nail right on the head. I am not thrilled about the price of gas but at the same time I have made some adjustments to make it more tolerable. My friend in the UK reminds me often of how good we have it here in the states, we have been blessed a very long time and still are. Unfortunately, I think many Americans take that forgranted,

I don't think we have seen anything yet! Some of these people need to live in Europe for awhile. We are not paying as much as they paid 20 years ago. BUT WE WILL!

What in the hell is a "Venti mocha"? Is that one of those alpacino drinks from starbucks? You know I was an old Infantry soldier, we don't know all that fancy stuff!

Big difference in paying $4.35 for a mocha drink, we don't HAVE to have that the live. But the price of gas is getting crazy, we need gas so we can work, and one gallon won't get us anywhere. If I could walk to work I'd do it rain or snow, but it takes me a hour to drive where I have to go. Yes your missing something. I remember paying $1.25 for a gallon of gas and I have seen it close to $4.00 a gallon. Time for Americans to use our own oil instead of going to a war zone to get it!

Yes, especially when my husband drives an hour to and from work everyday and the nearest grocery store is at least 20 minutes away in any direction.

PER gallon! So when its filled its more like $38.00. That $4 coffee doesnt go by the gallon, its just $4.

I make my own mocha and am sickened by the price I have to pay to drive.
Good point.
