Do you think this might cause parents to prevent their teen from being in a relationship with a boy/girl?

It will have no impact. She is by no means the first or the last. Teens will always find ways to be intimate and people will have forgotten about this pretty soon.

Thank you and good day.

I'm not sure that it would do that, but by Nick NOT taking a stronger stand, they're saying that it doesn't really matter to them. They even said they want to do a program on "sex and love" with Jamie Lynn. I don't find that to be Nick material.

Next, she sells her baby's pictures for one million dollars. Is that really the appropriate thing to do? This sparked rumors that she did this all solely for publicity. Possible, but if true (which I doubt it is), that's just not right. It's unfair to the child.

There's another problem: the majority of Jamie Lynn's fans are not teens who "know better." (by default, obviously, all teens are programmed to know better. Because we're always supposed to know better, aren't we?) They are young children. I've never watched Zoey 101, but my assumption is that it is Nick's modern Lizzie McGuire and attracts similar fans of Hannah Montana. They are typically girls between the ages of 7-12, give or take a year or two. Some 9 -year-old, say, hears about Jamie Lynn and thinks "Oh, that's so awesome! I can have a baby in a few years too!." Of course, we'll only see the glamorous side of the pregnancy, so what can POSSIBLY go wrong?

I don't think it'll cause problems with older teen relationships in the slightest because all parents know that allowing their teenagers to be in relationships means that they could potentially be having sex; the goal is EDUCATION for prevention as opposed to just preventing, because that makes it way worse.

Just my opinion.

I support her for planning on keeping the baby.

HOWEVER, I think people are making this a bigger issue than it has to be. I mean 16-year-olds get pregnant everyday. She's no different than those girls. She's just on a TV show. So what? I mean people really need to stop talking about her.

There were about 20 questions about her the other day. I'm sure you can type in "Jamie Lynn Spears Pregnant" in the Search Box and find that someone already asked the question you want to ask. That way you can gain 2 points by answering their question, then losing 5 points to ask yours. =)

Hopefully this will cause parents to talk to thier kids more, cuz thats what needs to be going on. i mean teens are going to have sex end of story, whether they are famous or not lol, its whether these kids use protection and birth control and what not and thats why parents need to talk to them. i mean i started having sex at 17 and managed not to get pregnant so i think that others should be able to do the same, but as for jamie lynn i mean it is only such a big deal because she is famous im sure, but in my opinion i have a problem with it because i think that she was suppose to be a role model to many young girl who watched the show she was on.and getting pregnant is not such a great thing to be teaching many of her young fans lol. people keep comparing her to the lot of teens that get pregnant every day or the teens on Y!ans that talk about getting pregnant, but shes not them. they arent role models to thousands, maybe even millions of lil girls. thats why its such a big deal. but other than that i couldnt care less haha, ive never even seen her show lol

Honestly?

I already put that aside. At first I was like Ok is this another rumor or something? But so what?

If a normal teenage girl gets pregnant, ok so what. But if a celebrity gets pregnant "She's a whore!!" Whats the point of even going the extra mile to be soo amazed over it.

Its stupid, Jamie Lynn, is still one of my favorite teen stars and so what everybody makes mistakes. Its not like she is going to shave her head and then attack the paparazzi with an umbrella. Unlike *cough*brittney*cough*.

I think it wasn't the best option for her, she ruined her life of course, but people make an ever huge deal cuz she's on the media and she got pregnant. Teher are so many girls getting pregnant and not that it's good, but they act like she's the first one!!! And some parents are freaking out and I heard they are sending emails to Nick or soemthing to get her fired because parents think she's a bad example, getting knocked up at 16. Parents r striking against her. Oh well, I wish ehr the best and for people to leave her alone

OMG! She isn't the first 16 year old to pop up pregnant. . . .She just has a crazy sister. . . and her mom has issues. As parents, if we guide our children - they will be okay. They will have healthy relationships if we educate them about pre-martial sex and/or SAFE sex.... if the urge is there. There are millions of 16 year olds having sex. . Jamie Lynn Spears and her partner didn't practice safe sex. . . it isn't the first and won't be the last.

I think it's the perfect opportunity for parents of tweens and teens to have "The Talk" about sex.

Instead of trying to prevent their kids from being in a relationship, teach them about sex and protection so this doesn't happen to them.

Like or not, kids will be kids and they will do what they want. Be a parent and educate your kids. If they learn about sex through the outside world, chances are they will be mislead and given wrong information.

it's sad cause she is young and has a whole life ahead of her...but she is rich, so no baby really can slow her down, she can have nannies and pretty much live the normal life of a 16 year old and there after. That's one of the luxuries of the rich and famous...they have money to hire nannies and stuff...Also, it's wierd how she came out in OK magazine, total publicity thing, I mean, you don't see people announcing their pregnant like that...if I were her family and her I would hide it to keep paparazzi and publicity from her. So, I guess they want everyone to know...yeah, it would of come out eventually, but she still has 7 months to go, come on, take a break and relax! They went right to the gossip magazines...way to tell the world you're expecting! GEEZ

I think this question is asked way too many times. My opinion is sh*t happens, and there's nothing nobody can do about it.

Also why is everyone saying she turned out like Britney? Britney was married when she had her kids.... Jamie Lynn is not an alcoholic/drug addict, or been to rehab.... They are nothing alike, but their mother did do a great job of screwing them up and not teaching them to make the right choices.
