why are Al queda, taliban and islamic militants allowed to touture US troops and westerners, just for being western, But US troops are not allowed to Torture?
the terrorist did not sign the Geneva convention so y does it apply to them?
are Democrats and John McCain playing politics or what?
i mean, if there was a Nuke somewhere in a populated US city and there a person with interligence on the issue in CIA custody will Obama or Edwards, or McCain ask the the terrorist nicely or will ther waterboard his face off?

I've often wondered the same thing. Why does the world trash talk America's interrogation methods(which are in no way actual torture) but ignore the very real and brutal torture that Al Queda/Islamic militants subject American POWs to?
I never hear anyone cry out for justice for the Americans who have been tortured and killed by terrorists. Shame on anyone who has compassion for terrorists!

They're not "allowed" to torture westerners (of course, that doesn't stop them). US troops are not allowed to torture because that is US law.
There are certain situations in which a nation which did not sign the accords is still entitled to the benefits of them. I do not believe that is the case with terrorists. However, the U.S. is still entitled to treat prisoners to those benefits, if it chooses.

You have to cut McCain a little slack,, He was tortured and so were some of his buddies,, You can't expect the man to have the stomach to even leave the lights on at night to sweat these guys.
Back as late as the early seventies the police here could use some pretty rough tactics. Now our soldiers have say please before asking a cold blooded killer if they might have any information.
These aren't soldiers they are just killers and they are in truth NOT covered by the Geneva accord.

What you say ,we just send Bill and Hillary Nancy Pelosi, Harry
Reid, Jane Fonda,Ted Kennedy, Rosie O. and Ron Paul to Iraq as ambassadors of good will, then they would know what torture really is, I bet they would beg for water boarding back.

1. The world hates the US. Whatever we do is wrong.
2. Terrorists get rights because we allow judicial activism. Some unelected judge decides to supersede the Senate and decide that they can change the Geneva Convention.
3. John McCain cares more about appearing like a maverick than he does about anything else. He is no conservative and I cannot wait until he is gone.

Al queda didn't sign the Geneva Convention, but the United States did. By signing we said we would not torture.

This is one of the reasons why I identify McCain, at best, a liberal.
The US has always protected other countries people from rotten torture techniques they use on our own. Anything else would be... Non-liberalizing.

The Geneva Convention is outdated buy today's standards.... Honestly, it is a joke. The US is the only one who kinda abides by it. The enemy sure doesn't. Waterboarding is a cakewalk compared to what the enemy would do to one of us. Please. Do you know anyone who is fighting over there? Ask. And you will see.

They beat women for being gang raped 200 lashes and throw her in prision. They wanted to beat this school teacher for going into that hell hole and trying to help those children.

Wives are beaten with a stick or worse. Now that's torture.

so you know about that tape they CIA destroyed, what do you think that was, it was torture.
USA does not find this as torture, put them in cold temperature and do not feed them, If you think that is not torture then you are wrong.
beside USA threats people,you know the usual, war, embargo, take kids away, kill you, nukes you know that stuff
USA torture they just are smart enough not to do it on camera.
