I hate that damn thing. When people say it doesn't bother them, they must be brainless. In this day of multi-tasking, if it doesn't grab their eye they must be near mongoloid.

If I didn't figure out a way to block it, I would seriously consider NOT using Yahoo Answers as that ad was making me VERY ANGRY!
Since I use Firefox as my browser and installed Adblock, a Firefox plugin, which totally eliminates that ad, I no longer have to put up with it! If you decide to do this, you'll find it down in the right hand corner of your window after installation which you can then click on, locate and disable the Gap Ad.
You can also access Yahoo Answers through Yahoo Canada, who is NOT running the obnoxious GAP ad, by clicking on the Canadian flag down on the bottom of Yahoo Answers screen.
I sent an e-mail to Gap Customer Care by going to their website and clicking on Contact Us.

No, the point of most online site is to find a need and offer a service, and in order to provide that service they need to make revenue somehow, and having advertisements by big coprations such as GAP is how they manage to pay for their servers, bandwidth, etc. So the least you can do for the free service they provide is sit and look at an advertisement.

There is a Gap ad?
Hmm, it hasn't shown up for me.
Edit: I just saw it. It interrupted a perfectly good song too. Yes, that is annoying, especially considering that it restarts every time that you click a link. Not quite so annoying as Yahoo's fallacious "abuse" claims however.

Sure, we'll all stop cold and go to a newly formed Answers Anonymous group. And in our new found spare time we'll eat ourselves to death watching soaps and sh*t.
