They are never officially a couple, They have sex and that turns Angel back into Angelus. That is why Angel leaves at the end of season 3, because he knows they will always have feelings for each other, but will never be able to act on it. There is even an episode of "Angel" where he turns human, and he spends a lovely day with Buffy, but he ultimately decides to turn back to a vampire. Throughout the entire series there is always that sexual tension between them. After Angel leaves she and Riley are a couple. After Riley, it is her and Spike. In fact, in season 7, Angel wants to wear the amulet to save the world, but she sends him away in favor of Spike because she says only a hero can wear it. For the record, I was always about her being with Spike. Sorry if I spoiled any of this for you

No. I liked Cordelia. Buffy is better off with someone more normal, but Angel...he's too sexy for Buffy. I loved Cordy!! Except for when she went all evil and slept with Connor. That pissed me off.

buffy and angel both ended quite awhile ago.but anyway i like angel and buffy better than spike and buffy.i mean all the latter pair did was just have sex.
