Is this homemade body butter? If it's getting too hard at room temp, your ratio of solid to liquid oils is too high. Add more liquids, like jojoba. A little cornstarch will give it a silky feel. Use an ice bath rather than putting it in the freezer. Put your bowl of liquified oils into a larger bowl filled with ice water, then whip. Stop when the butter is still soft enough to fill your containers.

I have encountered the same problem but I dont put it in the frig or freezer. I just keep it at room temperature and sometimes add a bit of baby oil to make it smoother and at the same time it makes my skin glow.

Store your body butter in the refrigerator instead of the freezer, it won't get as hard, and will still be useable.

I like to use extra virgin olive oil. Internally and externally it works wonders. Just a teaspoon a couple times a day.
