Wouldn't technicly call him a bully.
He says i suck at basketball.
he's on my basketball team.
I'm not going to tell a teacher,
i want to insult him back.
Or how do you get a bully to shut up?

I've been through the same.
The captain of the basketball team keeps on saying i suck and teases me. So I practiced more, eventually builded up my blocking skills. When we played against each other, he was driving through the rim and SWACK! I blocked his shot. He took more outside shots instead of driving since he always saw me guarding the paint.
Show him what ur made off and RESPECT will be earned

Tell him to either start being a team mate or go do an individual sport. There is no room for bullies on a basketball team...everyone has to work together.
If that doesn't work then show him up every chance you get and foul him during scrimmages.

well if your a nerd or just like a smart person and the bully is like a a stupid bully then u can say that u that at u are at least a future whatever-u-want 2 be and that the bully is a future bum begging for pennies under the bridge eating from a trash can.
Anyway.......tell me if something happens like a bruise or a injury

I had this problem before. Just ignore them. They are getting joy out of targeting you because they are looking for a reaction. Either they are putting you down to make themself feel better, or to make themself look good. If you ignore it, they will eventually notice that you arn't reacting, and there is no use for this "Bullying". Just do your best at basketball. As long as you know you are doing your best, he cant bring you down.

Best way to shut them up is to just ignore them. Honestly, it sounds lame, but that is the best way Merry Christmas and Good Luck

easy..i always been bullied but now i know how to shut the bully up..dont be scared to fight him back..
and never give him change..block his way to victory..and practice as hard as you can to improve him that you can be better than him...and dont forget to find something that can embarrassing him..or do something that make him embarrassed..

Insult him in a way that would embarrass him. Find out what makes him nervous, and strike back!

Show him that you got the guts on court!! show him moves that you are really good at basketball. then, if you prooved it already then that's the time you can somewhat return all his bullies to you

just cause your not as good as him in basketball doesn't mean that you suck.
i bet hes not as good as something that you are and your not perfect nor is he.
theres got to be something your really good at and use it against him.
say to him that you know your not as good as him in basket ball but its not like your great at everything neither. just try your best and forget what he says. show him up don't be afraid to get agressive at times. just not too cocky.
