a simple thing but it can mean so much .who do you light one for ?

'a' candle means a 1st birthday !
a few perfumed candles mean romance
a few more mean a power cut
lots of candles mean 'my birthday cake'
but more seriously, a lit candle, flickering gently means remembering someone who is not with us anymore

Hi. A candle to me means great hope. One single light shining out, brighter than any darkness.
I sometimes light a candle for when I meditate, or sometimes just to focus and still my mind when it is racing.
I always light a candle on Christmas day too, to celebrate the birth, even tho I know that it is not the real birthdate of Christ.
I feel that it is the symbolism of the action that means something.
I did however light my 12 candles on the 21st Dec, Winter Solstice in a 21 minute outdoor meditation. I lit them for the Universe.
Oh, and I sometimes light a candle before I'm going to do a distant healing for someone.
I also light a candle sometimes before I start work on a new painting, to help bring in Positive energy to my work.

They can be romantic Bex, or for me spiritual. I light a candle when I am going to meditate and talk to the spirit world as the candle flame attracts them and is a mark of respect for them xx

We have brought a Mandle candle to light and be on all day to say we love you and are remembering you our darling daughter.
Bex is a candle of life to shine bright for me anyway

If I light a candle it's in remembrance of someone or because we've had a power cut.

To me a candle is relaxing, peaceful, and even spiritual.

have 3 lanterns on Ruth/s grave .one hanging over the top and two on the stone .go down there at night and light em every night.like 3 wishes how i see it.
