A few years back they had characters such as Pedro, Millar, ect. Now, they just bore me. I'm a Cubs fan and watch them on WGN. I used to be a hard core Red Sox fan even though I watched the Cubs. Now they almost like the Yankees.

I don't think they re as exciting as a few years ago when they won the World Series. They had the comeback against the Yankees ,they finally broke the Bambinos Curse and who can forget the bloody sock. The only way I can think of what they have in common with the Yankees are that they are use to winning and they both hate each other. I do like the Yanks a little more than Boston. A couple of my favorite players are Thurman Munson and Carl Yasremski. And along with New York they have memorable baseball history(Bucky Dents Homer ,Billy (through the legs )Buckner and Carlton Fisk's Home run). So they may have been a little boring this year but think there's always next year.

That must stink for you, since the Boston Red Sox have won the World Series 2 times this centuary, and the Chicago Cubs have never won it. If you are just bored by them, which realy you should be bored by the Chicago Cubs, since they have only made the playoffs 3 times since 1998, been swept out of the playoffs in the first round 2 times, and have only advanced to the National League Divsion Series, once. So you should be excited that the Boston Red Sox have won it 2 times, and bored by the fact is the Chicago Cubs have only had this long going drought for 100 years. And by thier failure to bring a World Series Championship to the North Side of Chicago, like the Chicago White Sox brought the World Series Championship to the South Side of Chicago. So if you are bored, you might have to re-exam your life, or the fact of your own team's failuare to win the World Series. And if you are really bored by the Boston Red Sox, don't watch them.

Well I think it's more fun to root for the underdog (or at least more difficult!) so maybe that's why they aren't as exciting for you to root for...maybe it was the thrill of the chase and now that that's been accomplished, there's nothing there for you.
But what do I know? I'm a Cubs fan so this is a little out of my experience. ;)

i never liked them anyway, always found them boring, because they, like the yankees are almost always near the top, i dont like their logo, or colors, or players or fans, so yes i find them very boring
