When you're pregnant, you're on pre-natal vitamins, which definitely make your hair and your nails grow faster. I don't think it has anything to do with the actual pregnancy, though.

for most women who take prenatals the whole time it does. I however had very slow hair growth until my 9th month of pregnancy even with prenatals. it depends on the amount of nutrients you are getting and how many the baby is stealing. But YES most woman's hair does grow faster. Also remember however that it could be an illusion as well, most hair gets thicker during pregnancy because you do not shed as much.

Yes, it does. And more of it falls out when you are done being pregnant. However, part of it is due to the prenatals as women who are taking prenatals without being pregnant report the same thing.

Yes because of all the vitamins and healthy food you take during that time. Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair.Try

During pregnancy your hair gets longer and fuller because it doesn't fall out. And don't worry about it falling out more at the end your not going to loose all your hair or anything it just has to balance out you loose all the hair that you did not loose during your pregnancy.

My hair and nails have grown so fast and so much stronger. I believe it has a lot to do with prenatal vitamins as well as hormones.

I don't think so...but I am at the very end of pregnancy here, and my hair is very very long. I think that we're sooo darn tired that we don't mess with our hair as much during pregnancy. Therefore, it's really healthy, and it seems to have grown like crazy, rather than breaking off.

It can... it can also fall out, get thicker, change colors, and change texture (straight to wavy/curly etc.). Very interesting what hormones, pregnancy and vitamins do to your body.

I haven't been one of those fortunate people. My hair and skin really haven't done to well through this pregnancy.
