How can I find out more about Schlitzie?

Question

"Schlitzie", a.k.a. Simon Metz, Schlitzie Surtees. Was a well-known freak show character. He was conditioned with microcephalus and his reasoning capacity was only that of a 3-yr. old...

...So how is it that he had a daughter?
...And-are there any books about this individual?

Aside from that it's hard to say.. on top of everything else the laws were different then.. so anyone could have talked him into it.. I don't believe there are any books on him..(although the same info from these sites is probably listed in other books about "freaks") ..

He seemed a lot more aware then most of the bios give him credit for.. yes he spoke like a child.. yes, he wore dresses.. (they were more comfortable).. but I truly believe that was, in part, intentional..

Edited because I hadn't read the second site through until after I added the part where I thought he was smarter than they thought.. and the site says the same thing.. (I didn't just copy it!. lol)
