Why do so many people have bad grammar?

BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because people begin to use their native tongue before they learn its grammar correctly at school. They can communicate with one another without good knowledge of grammar. They won't come to study the grammar until they find it important.

I cannot believe Goddess of Grammar dared to say something like that. Not such a goddess after all. Although judging by her questions, she's a very pompous know-it-all with regards to standards of written English.

Some rules of grammar are certainly outdated but refusing to use proper grammar regardless is pure ignorance. I fail to understand how some rules are inconsistent with natural thinking patterns.

Cest la vie. I had a much better answer in my head but I believe I am a bit tired.

People have poor grammar because they are lazy.

Because they are too lazy or in too big a hurry to reread what they write. They simply don't care as long as their meaning gets across.
