The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have, taking one with another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Master Chi : Our political system including both major parties have many flaws, Dems are a little on the weak side, and Reps are just stucked on the good old days fantasy ?!
How ever, between bad and worse, we should pick bad.
Dem's have problems, but at least they won't jump on any country that has a little Oil, to get the obsolete war based economy on the roll ?! Politics in US need a Major over hull !?? Our politics needs fresh blood and air, new ideas, more science and so on !? I think all Americans should unite and select a new party, it's definitely time to do so !?
Best Regards.

Not if you're gonna replace them with Republicans and again that's the problem here. The Democrats failed miserably at doing the job they were elected to do but replacing them now with Republicans if you want the situation to change for the better isn't logical. That would be like throwing oil on the fire because the water failed to stop the burning.
The American people must rid themselves of the logic of the corrupt money driven two party system. Support and demand real choice meaning any party that wants on the ballot support it, demand it, fight for it.
Yes they deserve to be voted out but America deserve better not worse

Bush vetoed everything they tried to do.
Nobody in the Government is doing a good job of anything. Bush has politicized every job his lick-spittle minions have gotten near. Credit where credit is due.
It's not fair to single out Democratic representatives their majority is not large enough to do much damage.

No, in terms of evils:
Republicans>Democrats
Basic math.
Edit: I agree they should be held accountable, if there was a third party that was running candidates for congress, I'd probably support them. It's just that I shudder at the thought of returning the Republicans to power. The Democrats basically disgust me with their fear of Republicans and spinelessness, but they're really (unfortunately) the only game in town if you oppose the the Republicans.
