...If, YOU, were going Blind...
...I would LOVE to SEE: my wife's smile for the last time...

"...why even think that way??????-sky"
youth have the promises of tomorrow, the seniors the wisdom of yesterday and
the doings of today, we don't dwell, we prepare and enjoy all that we have with grace, if you want a 'sound' future, 'hindsight', helps...
"blindness" is just my metaphor, for life.

Thank YOU, All for your responses. My intent is to reinforce values...many of you said: love ones: priceless.
As for this sad and somber question, in a few hours it will be history, but, your
values: increased ten-fold.

Oh my...such a morbid thought. Well it would have to be something magestic like Yosemite Nation Park viewed from Half Dome. I've seen it before several times but each time it brings a sense of peace and it's a very spiritual experience. It's such a beautiful world we live in. Hey, I get excited with the first daffodil of spring, first big snowfall, the wind and ocean, the sight of Las Vegas from a plane, San Francisco in general, the rock shores of Maine and Cape Breton Nova Scotia, touring Ireland. Britian and Italy, watching a mother cat or dog tend toward their pups, etc. As for people, I know what they look like now...they'll change over time.

I am partially blind, with vision only in one eye, but we don't miss what we've never had. If I lost sight in my good eye, the last thing I would like to see, would be my spring garden . The lilies of the valley , lilacs ,violets and forget-me-nots are so beautiful. The faces of my family are imprinted on my brain forever and they would probably be sad if they thought I was going blind.

I would want all my family together to go out somewhere beautiful and spend the time together. I would want to see our beautiful earth one more time. My family would be with me and I would memorize every line and every brow, fingertips, smiles. I would not want them to be sad for me because I would have already had the very best they had to offer me. Of course my grandchildren and my dog. They would love me anyway.

Thank you for this very thought provoking question.

The last thing I would NOT want to see is an Islamic jihadist pulling the string and screaming ALLAHU AKBAR!
(I know a U.S. Marine Captain who saw that. He is blind, missing an arm and a leg.)
The last thing I would love to see is the death of the last jihadist as my 50 caliber round pierced his skull.

The surgeon who's preparing to successfully operate on my eyes.

Sorry about that, it was my first thought. I would want to see my son's faces.
