There was, because Maple 1 and 2 nuke reactors out near Ottawa Canada were shut down temporarily! This facility produced 60 % of the required medical isotopes on the planet. Moly 99 is sold to different clients, who produce other radio-active daughters for specific needs---such as technetium (I believe it is called). The reactors are back on line and the problem of shortages should soon be over. Thanks to Canada's Prime Minister Harper BTW (he demanded the reactor start back up, realizing the crisis the world was in).
