Yes it is illegal because the 19 year old boy is an adult while the 16 year old is still living with parents and under their responsibility, when you automatically turn 18 years old your an adult you could drink and smoke, but 17 and under your still a child/ young adult

It's usually statutory rape if there is more then a 3 year age difference. If you are refering to the whole Jamie Lynn thing, there is not quite 2 years age difference, so he won't be prosecuted.

It depends on where you live. Look up legal age of consent on the net. The age of consent and marriage laws for teenager are listed by state and country.

Age of consent laws vary by state. If anything even if they tried to put the statutory rape charge against him, she could always refuse to testify against him and it doesn't really go over well in court if the person does't want to press charges.

He was 18 and she was 16. There was a less than 2 year age gap so it was legal under Cali law.

Yes. It's illegal. Are you talking about Jamie Lynn (16) and her 19 year old boyfriend?

As long as the girl is above the legal age for sex, then there's no legal issue.

It's not the pregnancy, it's the sex.

And the laws are different in every state.

That depends on what state they live in. Most states' age of sexual consent is 16.
