World War II was in my opinion the result of unresolved issues from World War I.

I am in complete agreement with the historian Bernadotte Schmidt, who said, "World War I and World War II were acts of the same play."

The Asian theater began in 1931 with the Manchurian invasion by the Japanese.

The European theater began in 1937 when the Nazi's first began demanding territory.

It became a World War in 1941 when Japan brought the US into it.

If youre looking at actual warfare, not just armed warfare it began the second WWI ended. Everyone declared financial war against Germany and essentially forced her into a second war. The short time Germany was financially stable after WWI was only because of money lent from the Americans who soon were getting better returns from the stock market. American investors realized this and further bankrupted Germany by stopping new loans and demanding full payment on old ones.

The incident that broke the camel's back was the German invasion of Poland in 1939. Prior to that there were regional conflicts, most notably the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. The Germans had taken over the Sudetland and Checkoslovakia.

World war 2 was started because of Hitler invading places. He was taking over the whole Europe side, and they were mad because they had to pay for the whole damages of WW1. SO really WW1 was really foreshadowing WW2

Hitler broke the anti-agression pact with the soviets and invaded poland.

Since Britan and France were allies of Poland and the soviets, they declared war on germany in 1939
