I dropped my laptop and now the colors are all skewed. A glass of Coke fell right next to it and it may have gotten a bit onto the keys. Could that be the reason why the colors are all wonky and is there a fix for this or do I have to basically deal with warped colors on my laptop now??

No, sounds to me like the display is spiderwebbing. you will probably need to take your laptop to a shop and have them replace the display. Hope its under warranty

Quickly shack out the soda and pull out the plug for AC and the batteries now! Use a hair blower set to the max on hot and start drying the unit. Once it's dry leave it alone until the next day. Plug in the batteries back in and try to see if it will turn on. If it doesn't then you'll have to call it in for repair or get call it DOA!

Just have to buy another one. You can save your data off the HDD by getting 2.5 IDE to IDE adapter sold online for $5.00 bucks. Then get friend or someone you know who has a desktop and connect this to his or her PC where the CD/DVD Rom is. This will also involve opening up the PC case and disconnect the power and ribbon cable from the CD/DVD and then connect that to the 2.5 adapter which is connected to your laptop HDD.

If you're going to school or work for a company ask your IT department for help if you don't feel up to the task. They can burn the HDD files you want to keep to a DVD or two.

You basically have to mentally deal with that warped discolouration. A fix cost legs and arms and need send to a shop.

That may depend on your bank account and how much of a tight wad you are. If you get it fixed, take care of it form now on. If you get a new one, don't do the same thing again.
