it is mounted on our dishwasher, so dishwashing it is out of the question. is the weak acid + high salt treatment a suitable antiseptic bath? by the way, i never cut raw meat on the cutting board.

Yes and baking soda+vinegar would be good along with the salt. Just rinse well.

Even though you're not using the board for raw meat, any type of food particle can cause bacteria to develop within the crevices. I would actually recommend soaking it in a diluted bleach/water mixture. I realize it's permanently fixed on your dishwasher, so fill a bucket with the bleach mixture and wipe it on with a clean spounge or cloth. Bleach will kill anything, so it's my cleaner of choice. I would sugest leaving the bleach mixture on the board for 15 minutes or so, and then rinsing it several times with water.

I would sand it. Then re oil it. It getts all the bad material off and gets it clean.

nuke it while its still wet from washing it. It cannot be fixed that hard to remove.
