I've never been to one that was all that great although when I was a little girl we went to a nice one but we didn't use any of the extra features to make it nice for some reason everywhere else was booked and it turned out kind of badly.
Usually I just go to the holiday inn or the comfort inn
but when we went to Myrtle beach we stayed at a place called Captain's Quarters, it had an arcade, bowling alley, and hot tubs, swimming pools, lazy river etc.. plus our room was ocean front with a balcony.

My favorite hotels are only out west. Shilo Inns are really posh and I'd like to stay at one again. I stayed at one in three different cities, once each and all of them were terrific!

Hampton Inn. Great service, nice pool, nice rooms, and a really good breakfast.
Maybe stayed in Hamptons about a dozen times.

Thousand Acres Ranch in upstate NY-adirondack mountains. It's beautiful, and I stay there every summer since forever. It's more cabins than hotels, and it's so relaxed, and family oriented. Highly recommend it!
