Tell her the truth..tell her what's going on and ask her what she thinks it is. If she doesn't already know, make it clear to her that you're not sexually active. You don't have to be sexually active at all to get a yeast infection.

A yeast infection is not something that you should be afraid to talk about. yes, it can be embarrasing, but every woman gets it at least once in their lives. Once you tell your mother, i'm sure she'll tell you that she's had one too before. I've had what I thought was an yeast infection when I first went to the doctor about it. they told me it was BV, which is a bacterial infection of some sort. I treated mine as if it was an yeast infection with monistat without going to the doctor and it didn't go away, so I finally got the guts to go. A few months after I was treated for BV, i went back to the doc with the same symptoms, but they informed me that it was an yeast infection. Are you taking any antibiotics. My yeast infection came about after I took Penicillian for an infection. So, An yeast infection doesn't mean that you are dirty or digusting, its just when the normal flora of your bacteria grow into the "not so good bacteria) Its better to tell her mother, get to the doctor, so you can be treated as soon as possible. They might give you a cream in which you have to stick up your vagina. However, if you aren't confident doing that, then they'll give you a pill called fluzanole (or something like that). Its a one time dose and it apparantly will make your yeast infection go away.

It is nothing to be embarrassed about. Yeast infections aren't caused by sex. You probably should go see a gynecologist. I know it's uncomfortable to have a doctor look at you down there, but it's the best thing to do. If you've never had a yeast infection before you want to make sure it's the real thing before you take any over-the-counter medication. All the doctor will do is take a quick look down there and take a swab for testing. Gynecologists look at vaginas all day long so you really don't have anything to be embarrassed about. If it is a yeast infection, you might be better off taking medication prescribed by a doctor. Some yeast infections don't respond to over-the-counter medication.

It's nothing to be embarrassed about at all! A yeast infection is totally normal for some women to get. If you just tell your mom that you are pretty sure you have one and explain your symptoms she will completely understand. I am sure she has had many in her lifetime.
They aren't fun to have but there is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about.

Hey,
Don't worry about it, I got it myself when I was only 10. Almost every woman gets it at some point, more than once or twice. It's nothing. Tell her, she won't scold you for it.
But my advice, take acidophilus, eat some good yogurt, and drink plenty of water.
Once that's done, make sure to wipe the area clean and dry front to back. Never back to front.
Other than that, tell your mom and she can take you to a doctor who can give you some simple medication, usually in pill form, and it'll disappear.
You'll be fine, like I said, it's no biggie, everyone gets it at some point.

im 14, and last year it was stinging down there and i told my mom and we went to the doctor, and they did look down there, but it didnt take that long, and then i just got some medicine and it went away superfast. but you should definitly tell your mom or someone you trust because it is really unhealthy to just leave it and it will start to smell and sting really bad!
