I have a seven month old baby boy and about three months post-partum I started having my periods again (the same thing happened with my first who is 21 months. Well after my second cycle though normally ever 28 days to the hour I was a week early for my third cycle. The cramps were horrible it felt like labor and after only four months believe me it was still fresh in my memory. To top it all off I was bleeding through a super tampon and a panty liner every hour, for a six day cycle I went through a 36 pack of tampons! The periods before that one were pretty normal as far as timing, cramps and the amount of bleeding. I was also extreamly fatiuged and I went like a whole day with out going pee more than once. I did call my doctor right away they were only able to get me in a couple of days after I was already off and they just told me to watch the rest of my cycls to see how the go and the last three or four have been normal as well. I think about it all the time and I just need to know

I know that the embryo would have only been a week old but seriously every other period has been normal and I felt like vomiting the pain was so bad sometimes. I wasn't nauseated or nothing just in extreme amounts of pain....

There's no way to know for sure. That soon after having a baby, your body is really trying to adjust to having a period again- so it's possible that you just had a really weird one while your hormones/body was still adjusting. But, I think you shouldn't agonize over it, I mean, you don't know for sure that you miscarried, why put yourself through the heartache of something that probably didn't even happen (I know, easier said than done).

So you had your period at the normal point in your cycle, then you started another period 3 weeks later and thats when you think you miscarried? If I understand what you're saying correctly, it sounds like the embryo would have only been 1 week along at the time of miscarriage. I don't think you would even notice anything if you miscarried that early; it would probably be like a normal period.

There is really no way of knowing. It could have been especially with you bleeding so much and having cramps like that. I remember my mom telling me what a miscarriage felt like and all she remembers is the awful pain and the bleeding. It was intense. I hoped this helped. Don't be sad if you want another baby God will give you that. Good luck!!

It's possible, but there's really no way to know. Just could have been a wacky period.
