Not embarrassed, Lee but have people going into your Q's and then violating you after a Q's appeared 3 wks ago. There is a lot of people on YA who have had the same problem.

Way back when I first started in Q&A I wasn't fully aware of the guidelines and there are a couple chatty type posts I made that if were turned in may get me a violation and I depend heavly on my mail account so I straightened my act up and began to comply 100 % with the guidelines.
I hate it I can't share but given a person if so inclined can go back through thousands of posts and dig those out and that's why I keep private.

i never used to have mine on private but i found that people looked over my previous questions and made assumptions about me, for example i had to take time of work due to depression and was asking questions about that and then asked a random question about the drug crystal meth that id seen all over the news, but didnt know what it was (must stress would never ever take it, or any other drug) the replies to this were along the lines of just go on the sick and spend the governments money on drugs, people are so quick to judge on here it unreal. So thats why, well its my reason anyways x

I don't remember if I still have mine on private... it was because my boyfriend would come on here and keep an eye on me! But I think he's a contact of mine now so it doesn't make any difference! Its not against anyone on here, just for those nosy parkers at home!

So that no one can see my spelling and my answers.
It also reduces the stalkers and cheaters.
Some questions are embarrassing and I dont think anyone would want to see what the answers were.

Like the others have said it makes it very hard for stalkers and trolls to follow you around and report you for no reason.

To stop trolls going through my questions/answers and reporting them
I've had 3 stalkers on here in the past, and I don't want any more thank you very much.

No, it's because certain forums I answer in have "trolls", who are people that are out to make everyone miserable (they post rude questions, attack other members, are disrespectful and break community rules), and I don't want them to have access to my questions or to be able to find out personal information... sometimes I post my email to people in answers to help them out , for instance... so basically it's to protect my privacy from unfriendly people.
