So I have had vaginal discharge. I have told my mom and she says its part of puberty ie. menustrating. Anyway,I usually get it on a day to day basis. Not on a certain day or whatever. Could I have an infection or what?

Your mom is right. Unless you smell an odor or have major itching, don't worry about it being an infection.....all of us go through it or have gone through it....ALL OF US and all females after us will too -- especially in puberty. I'm 49 and have grandchildren -- it happened when I was your age......and everyone I KNOW. DON'T WORRY. You are NORMAL.

If it's white and smells like tuna, it's probably a yeast infection. Some normal discharge is just that, normal. It's your bodies way of cleaning itself down there.

Edit: AUNTY - white and cottage cheesy means you have a yeast infection, and is NOT normal.

nope. completely normal. its an everday thing, and get used to it, because your going to have that discharge for the rest of your life, until menopause atleast. other than the times you are having your period, that discharge will always be there. if you dont already have your period, go ahead and buy some pads. be ready because up to a month after you develop the discharge, you will most likely get your period.

no it is normal to get it any and everyday for the rest of you life, as a part of womanhood! you probably will get your period like a year from now, and you can ask your mom to get pantiliners if you want for the discharge.

If its slightly yellow or smells then its possibly a yeast infection. If its white and cottage cheesy then it is just a normal pre-menstrual discharge. In any event, you might want to see the doc and make sure - getting used to going and getting advice on intimate issues is a good thing. It means that you will be less worried later on when you have other issues to deal with e.g. smears.

As long as it's not yellow or greenish and doesn't have a foul smell, it's probably just normal discharge.
