I have trouble remembering things, and I stutter a little whereas before the injury, I did not.

I plan on making a doctors appointment, what is the main method of treatment for such injuries and symptoms related to the injury?

Ask your doctor to refer you to a speech pathologist. These professionals work with brain-injured patients with all deficits associated with brain contusions, including memory, insight, attention, reasoning, multi-tasking, planning, and mental flexibility, in addition to the stuttering.
I'm sure you're having other cognitive issues you aren't aware of which can interfere with working, driving a car, taking care of family, or going to school.

rehab...cerebral contusions can't be healed or anything by surgery, just takes time to heal. You may end up doing some sort of rehabilitation to help with your memory and such, or maybe some other medication options. If the damage was permanent, im sorry to hear that!, but best of luck

Basically we watch these people closing for their awareness. We encourage the patient to get a lot of rest and resume normal activities very slowly.healing from this can be very slow and frustrating. GL
