I have a uromastyx who I brought back from a trip around the town (aprox 30 min) and I put him in his cage for 45 minutes now and he won't come out! Should I check on him or should I leave him there because he rarely is in his rock for that long.

Where do you live that you can take your uro out this time of year? It's winter in the U.S.

Just leave it there. It needs to de-stress. Most lizards who are not used to going about town get pretty stressed and just need to chill. Once it realizes these outings are safe then it may even look forward to going out, but it will take some time.
