From your personal experience, when is the best time to take a pregnancy test after your missed period to assure a correct result? Is it best to wait about a week even though alot of tests advertise that they can detect as early as the day of your missed period? I took several different tests last time 3 days after my missed period and got the FAINTEST positive but then 4 days later it popped right up. Also, by 8 1/2 weeks, is there most likely enough HCG levels to give an accurate result? Thank you so much for answering.

I got a faint positive 2 days after my missed period. 2 days after that, it was a strong positive.

There is enough HCG after your first missed period but the hormone is most concentrated in your urine first thing in the morning because, theoretically, you havent peed in many hours. So the best time to take the test would be when you first get out of bed. I know I did and it popped up almost immediately with two lines, I took another one later in the day and while the two lines appeared it took a little bit longer to develop. Good luck!

I just found out I was pregnant today, and I took a first response test yesterday twice. the first time the test showed positive, but one of the lines were lighter than the other, I took it again a couple hours later, and I got the same results, POSITIVE. I went to the doc today and found out Im almost five weeks. So you should be getting clear results by 8 1/2 weeks. the best thing to do is to get a test with your doc. good luck.

If you have a history of slow rising pregnancy hormones, then it is best to wait about 3-7 days to test.

If you have no history of slow rising or abnormal pregnancy hormones, then test the day your period is due. With first response, 69% of women get an accurate results 5 days before their missed period.

I personally tested the day before my period was due and got a negative then got a positive 3 days after i missed my period.

I examined 4 situations and each time grew to become into detrimental till the day I overlooked my era. Then i grew to become into ultimately (very faint) effective. So, 2 weeks after theory, or 4 weeks preggo? Oh, and that i used first reaction.
