Harvey Martin of the cowboys. He simply destroyed quarterbacks. His mayhem and pain led to rule changes back in the Seventies. He was big but extremely fast and, then, they could still flatten the quarterback even when the ball was released. They were intimidated because they simply knew they could simply stay in a pocket. Harvey would break some bones. They had to run of get whacked. the old school way. He would have seriously hurt someone like Tom Brady.

Tom Landry believed strong in Big D and his Doomsday Defense. Landry, himself, played defensive back for the Giants, you know.

No, Harvey Martin made'em change the rules. He had a special talent.

Deacon Jones, 1960's LA Rams.
The guy was unbelievable.
The NFL didn't compile sack stats back then, but I remember he had 24 sacks in one season.
And yes, the league did change the rules because of his dominance.

Brian Bosworth!

Ok, Ok, calm down, it was a joke.

My personal favorite was Mike Singletary. The original "Minister of Defense" The way his eyes would scan around for someone to hit, crazy.

There are a lot of them but I'm going with Reggie White. I was at the game in Green Bay when they retired his number, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. He was truly one of the greats and will always be remembered.
