1 season doesnt make a QB. 7 seasons as a starter (8 in the league) doesnt make a QB. Longevity is the key. So even if Tom Brady wins it all that doesnt catapoult him onto the top of that list, he will have to prove himself for years to come.
BUT in saying that, Tom Brady is already in my top 5 with what he has done with such little talent (3 SB's without any great players around him), and if he wins a 4th that certainly helps his case. He could never win another one again and as long as he continues to play great statistically and his teams are doing well, he could very easily be at the top of that list. Does anyone even know Brady's stats? Take a look at them, for a 7 yr period they are ridiculously awesome.
This is a Tom Brady avg. season: 92.8 QB rating, 63% completion, 3685 yds, 27 TD's, 12 INT's...keep in mind this season isnt over yet.
Those numbers are staggering, esp. if you take a look at the players he had surrounding him offensively, nothing special (until this season).
If he continues these numbers at an even similar pace for 6 more yrs (age 36 when he retires) he would finish with these numbers: 47912 yds, 357 TD's, 156 INT's. And if he keeps the players that he has this yr, you can expect better than avg seasons for at least 3-5 more yrs. Those numbers, the fact that he's won 3 of 3 SB's (possibly 4 this season and maybe more in the future) would certainly put him on top in my book. Keep in mind those stats are only for 13 seasons. Thats just unbelievable.
IF Tom Brady keeps this up - he goes down as the greatest of all time in my opinion and it would go like this:
1.) Tom Brady
2.) Brett Favre
3.) Joe Montana
4.) John Elway
5.) Dan Marino

I like the patriots, but I'm vikings fan so I obviously don't like the packers... so favorites are in thought....
Obviously this is a poor question, you don't justify the best of all time on 1 season, yeah, they have multiple superbowls but thats team effort. When Brady carries a team and wins it/ produces winning seasons, then the talks should start.
Simple answer, no. Tom Brady is not the best of all time but time will tell towards the end of his career. He is without a doubt, a premier quarterback that will go somewhere.
Right now you take his receivers away, well, just Randy Moss actually and they aren't where they are today. Randy Moss makes every quarterback look good - History lesson - just look at Dante Caulpepper, enough said.
A definition of a great quarterback, out of repect for quarterbacks (not teams) would be Brett Farve. Give him no name recievers (Driver is average...), no running back and see how he fairs in the NFL.

Why human beings save wondering that Brady will set the record of TD? he's in uncomplicated words having a good commence and he suggested he does no longer care about the record. certain, Brady has 6 video games throwing a minimum of three TD. at the same time as Manning set the record, he threw 3 or extra TD from week 5 to week 13 and four or extra from week 8 to 12. He also had 3 video games with 5 TD and one with 6. Brady has thrown 5 TD in uncomplicated words once in his total career. He does no longer prefer to set a record neither, the protection is okay to save the score low and the operating interest will be large once Maroney and Morris are lower back. Manning and Marino set a record for TD because their D's sucked and it became the in uncomplicated words thanks to win. Marino did not actually have a operating interest. Brady has both issues.

No i think it would be unfair to say he is the greatest QB of All Time. I think you could say he is top 5. I think Farve is a better All Time QB then Brady.
But i agree with your statement that Brady is having a better season than any QB ever. He is making it look easy out there lately he has had some off games but still makes the plays at the end. He will break the TD Record.
People are saying he is so good because of his recievers. He won 3 Rings with no recievers. You can say he had Branch but what is Deion doing in Seattle nothing. So if he was amazing with no recievers it makes sense that he is Legendary with Welker Stallworth and Randy Moss. if Peyton didnt have his recievers he wouldnt be much better than Eli.

If Brady should win again this year he would be in my top 4 QB's of all time. This is the order I'd have them in if he wins this year.
1. Joe Montana
2. John Elway
3. Terry Bradshaw
4. Tom Brady
If he gets 5 then he would move past the other 3 and to me be the best of all time.

No.
Bob Griese had an undefeated season, too.
I have NEVER heard his name come up in any "Greatest QB of all time" debates.
An undefeated, or even a statistically amazing season like Brady is having doesn't guarantee Best Ever (at least it shouldn't). BUT... Brady is well on his way to joining those discussions. He will not, however, be knighted with that title just because of this season.

There are too many great quarterbacks in the history of the NFL to come out and proclaim Tom Brady as the best ever. He could be in the conversation though.

Now before every cheese head in this great state of Wisconsin starts making their claim that it has and always will be Brett Favre hear me out on this.
First off, if you live in any other state other than Wisconsin, Brett Farve would not even draw a thought about being in the top three; as that list has always been Montana, Elway, Unitas in this writer’s mind.
Yes, Favre has now and will continue to break every important statistical record as well as three-straight MVP’s and a Super Bowl ring, but with all those TD passes and yards he also has the most interceptions. Due to his gunslinger mentality, he has a poor passing percentage and that will always hurt him.
Now to the topic at hand, Tom Brady. If anybody can even question the greatness of this quarterback then they need to be checked for mental problems. You are witnessing history, ladies and gentlemen, and I hope you realize this before it is too late.
You are witnessing the ‘96 Bulls all over again, a team that you turn on just to see how bad they are going to destroy their opponent. Nobody is turning on their television and expecting to see a great game, at least not until week 9 against Indy when the Pats prove that they are on their own level and last year was a fluke.
Remember Brady was a couple dropped balls away from heading to another Super Bowl in which he would have won? He is the best big game quarterback ever. Yes, I said it, sorry Montana but you were passed after his last Super Bowl victory, when he went off for 236 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 110.2 quarterback rating. All of this of course was being done with his top notch receiving squad of Deion Branch and Troy Brown. Wait; to be fair I should throw in their starting linebacker Mike Vrabel, who was also able to catch a touchdown pass as well.
This time around, Brady won’t have to worry about dropped balls as he finally has the weapons his AFC rival Peyton Manning has had throughout his career. Brady’s new entourage consists of the most athletically gifted wide receiver ever in Randy Moss, as well as one of the best possession receivers in the league, Wes Welker. And let’s not forget about Donte’ Stallworth, who is no slouch himself.
Tom Brady has the ability to do anything he wants, whenever he wants. When Dallas took the lead in the third quarter of week six, did anybody else see the look on Brady’s face when the camera went to him? If you did, you will agree that it was not a look of concern, not even in the slightest. He knew that this Dallas team, and no team for that matter, could stop him.
So he took the Pats right downfield with ease, and 10 plays and a Kyle Brady touchdown later, the Pats were back on top and had completely sucked all the life out of the Cowboys. Brady and Patriots took Dallas’s best shot and didn’t even flinch. Brady followed that drive up with four more scoring drives; two field goals and two touchdowns.
And the thing that I love about the Patriots and Brady this year is that they are out to prove to everybody that they don’t need to cheat to win. Yeah, go ahead and keep calling their three Super Bowl rings tainted. All they are going to do is continue to pimp smack the league back into line and prove that they don’t need to cheat.
And how do they do it? To borrow a phrase from my man Bill Simmons, “the F— YOU TD.” This is when the Pats like to give a nice big middle finger to the rest of the league for daring to call their Super Bowls tainted. Need some examples? For instance, rushing in a fourth-and-goal TD with 19 seconds left in the Dallas game, a 14-yard TD to Moss with the game well in hand; that’s when most teams would be rushing the ball to run out the clock. They have done it in every game.
Brady is going to break numerous single season records this year. Why? Because Belichick wants him to. The Pats have finally given Brady the weapons he deserves, and Belichick is not going to let it go to waste.
You can mark it down right now; Tom Brady will tie Montana and Bradshaw this year with four rings. And don’t think he will stop there, I expect at least two more rings out of him and everybody else should too.
Now just imagine if he had these types of weapons his whole career, would this blog have ever even been written? Or a better question; how long ago would this have been written?
Concluding Order:
Brady
Marino
Montana
Elway
Unitas
Bradshaw

He's only the best right now, but not the best qb of all time. He needs to break all of Brett's records and then we could answer the question. If he could win 2 more championships, then he could be place with the best.

well he will have 4 super bowl rings if the pats win this year. i think that he has the potential to be the greatest of all time but he is not right now. when favre retires he will be the best active QB. i see him becoming the best of all time in another 5 years or so.
