If I had money I would have to waste time getting food but if I had food I wouldnt have to waste time so I would rather have food from the start.

Depends what kind of food.
I'd probably rather have money, but for instance, if someone got me 15 lbs of Rib eye steaks or something really good, I would like that more, because I would never spend my money on all that.
Give a gift of Luxery, not something they can give to the gas company.

Food. If I really need money, I could borrow from friends, family or w/e. No matter what, I can't live without food. I guess I could borrow food from friends, but I don't think that they'd want it back =P
