First of all...I know this is an informal question/answer forum, but seriously! Did you read what you wrote before you posted it?

Secondly, think back to what you do to help your math understanding. Do you complete all of your homework? Do you pay attention in class? Do you take notes and then study them? When you do study, do you do it in front of the TV the night before a test or do you study in a quiet place for a little bit each night? Have you asked your teacher to help you with the things you don't understand? Have you asked your parents to help you with your homework when you are stuck or do you just give up? What you do to take control of your understanding says a lot for your grades.

A parent/teacher conference is not the end of the world either. Usually it is a time to brainstorm for ideas on how to help you, not a time to figure out ways to 'get you'. Go to the conference with your parents so you can hear for yourself everything that is said and you can state your opinions on everything.

You know what thats a great question. If your struggling with math first of all thats normal! Lots fo kids struggle with math so try not to be upset with yourself about it. Just ask for the extra help. Beleive me when I was your age I struggled with Math too but was better at other classes. I really struggled until I ask my teacher for help. After that I did fine! As long as you pass and get ok marks dnt worry about it too much. Once you learn math it gets a LOT easier! Just be honest with your parents too and tell them, but first maybe talk to your teacher about what you can do first!

Good luck! and dont worry too much! :)

Get a dictionary or learn to spell! While you're at it, get a good grammar reference sheet, too. I'm surprised you did so well in math. Looks like it might be your strongest subject.

In addition to help in Math, she might suggest English tutoring as well. Since you are "like a 7th grader", maybe you should find a REAL 7th grader to help you.

Tell your teacher that you don't understand, it's their responsibility to make sure you do. If they still don't help, ask some friends who understand the subject. Or you can read the lessons over again.

shes gonna say that you are almost failing and then your parents will get mad. just say you dont understant AT the conference(not before not after) so that your teacher will have to help you. or ask for a tutor.

definitely just keep focus on school work...trust me its the only way to raise yourself and show everyone off and be tall and proud. for math, you can look for tips and yahoo education sources online. there are so many sites....this one is really great - - coolmath.com check it out. & be smart not stupid
