-Think about HOW important it is and what it would do.
-Think about consequences if something isn't done.
-Force yourself to do it without motivation. (This is how many people get by in life. Sort of how people literally force themselves out of bed in the morning.)
-This last one is sort of a more personal one, but I force myself to do things so that I don't get used to being lazy. I get THAT motivation from /certain/ people in my life.

The longer you think about it, the harder it actually is to do. I know because I'm the QUEEN of procrastination. What helps me most is not finding motivation. It's just the opposite. Don't think about doing it, just do it. No time like the present right. I usually get more things accomplished when I just do them, instead of thinking about doing them.

Just do it. It's really the only way I can convince myself to do stuff. Just haul myself off my butt and get it done. Turning on music can help, depending on what you're doing. There are so many things i'm procrastinating about right now...Thanks for reminding me!

I make a list and put them in order of importance and just start working away at it. If a task is very large, I break it into smaller, more manageable chunks and check them off as I complete them.

business before pleasure if it's just dishes but it is a rarity for me to take care of anything super important and so it can really pile up, and become too late or even lost track of--my nightmare life

Positive affirmation...Telling myself I can do whatever it is that I am attempting to accomplish until I believe I can do it regardless of how difficult I percieve it to be. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
