It doesn't seem very sporting, but I guess that's how they get their thrills.

I love you people who try to generalize like this, LIKE MEN NEVER DO THIS. What a joke.

No, i think it s not fun at all...
I guess they choose between the less evil... speaking with a boring guy all night or just reject him.

if you are fun, open and thrilling... they will be more than happy to interact with you.. actually they will compete for you attention :-)

I know what you mean! I've seen women tell stories about denying guys who ask them out. And they say it like, "Yeah! He was so weird! I was so offended!" even if they are obviously NOT offended (usually the opposite, in fact). Basically, what they're really doing is advertising that SOMEONE asked them out because they want people to think they're desireable.

In my lifetime, I have turned down some guys. But I feel honored by the genuinely sweet ones.........hurting them is no sport for me.

I cant reject anyone which may be why I've only dated abusers and drunks! Of course I never get hit on either so that brings a little problem into rejecting people!

Anybody who gets a kick out of making people feel rejected or hurt, has issues. I have a hard time directly rejecting people because I hate rejection myself. It's more exciting and rewarding to make people feel good, knowing you had a positive effect than a negative one.

Put it into perspective. The truth is, if they don't shut down some suitors pretty hard, he'll keep trying. Just make sure you're basing your assumptions on the small percentage that are just decadent and nasty.

There is a perverse enjoyment in it. It's a way of exerting power over the guy. (This is only when the guy is a cocky, smooth-talking stranger; when it's a shy male friend, it becomes far less laughable.) But very few women put rejecting men very highly on their list of ideas for game night.

I don't enjoy turning a guy down. It's just part of the territory that goes along with the dating game. I can't lie and feign interest when I have no intentions of dating the guy. It's not fair to me and it's equally unfair to the man.

it's only the cocky, insecure rude women who do this on a regular basis just for fun. yeah, the first time or two, it's kinda fun, but it gets old after a while. unless the chick's totally...wacked.

I'm not good at rejecting guys at all. I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. Maybe you're going after the wrong 'type'

It is never fun to hurt someones feelings. Only a real ***** would make sport of it, and if that is the case, you are better off without her.
