This seal is important to both protect it from contamination and from seepage ; it is easier to replace now rather than at a latter date .

Moisture can occur at any temp. variance.Without using a new gasket,that throttl body will suck in air,and result in rough/erratic idle and driving.Not to mention excessive fuel use.

You do not have to replace the seal if it does not look bad. It is just highly recommended that you do in case the seal is bad.

the gasket gets dry with the tempeture one's u take the throttle body it mite brake. so u need to replace its less then $5

You may also end up with a vacuum leak & wasted time
