Late is late. Where ever I have worked we had to clock in on a time clock & minutes didn't matter.
Yes I would still work there because I was never late for work !!

I do -- and have for over twenty years.

Late is late; you should be at your work station when 'work time' starts, not a minute or more after.

Try planning your morning a little better; time management will get promotions -- tardiness will get unemployment!

Well, I'm usually early for work, so I guess it would depend on how much I liked the job - if it was worth while to change my arrival habits, I'd stay. If not, I'd quit.

Most employers give a 5-minute "grace period" to clock in since synchronizing clocks in everyone's homes, car, and wristwatch with the timeclocks isn't real feasible......

No, those are usually the same people that ask to stay late for "just a minute" that turns into two hours, without pay.

When I was in the military if you were one minute late you got railed on like there was no tomorrow. Does your job pay well? Do you like it? If so, be on time.

You must work where I do.
