I run Windows XP Pro., and I would never use a P2P type of service. Limewire is very legal. What is not legal is some of the files that you may download. If these files are "copyrighted", then it is not legal, because you are stealing some other persons material. This is a crime.

Plus when you use P2P, you open yourself up to all kind of viruses, spyware and adware.

Caught? Caught what?
Downloading songs from Limewire.

We all, well most, do it.

What the industry is out to get is the guy that pirates the songs by acquiring the song illegally, then distributing it without granting royalty rights to the artist or label.
These people do this in large quantity. They are thieves.

We simple folks that download a song to listen to it on our PCs or portables are not at high risk of prosecution.

Relax

Dont stop downloading music because the music industry's scare tactics.

If you stop downloading music, do it cause it's the right thing to do.

I hope this helps
