I'm 18, and i need money in less than 2 weeks, to pay the rent, but under certain circumstances i was required to take a month off work. I going back to work in 2 days but i won't get my paycheck in time to pay the rent. I'm not sure what to do because i have no one to turn to for money. I've decided to try and get a loan at the bank. But i don't know how to go about it, i only need about 500-600 dollars max. But the website i looked at said the minimum i can take out for a loan, is $5000. is there a way i can borrow less. Do i need a line of credit? how do i get one? any advice or suggestion would be highly appreciated. thanks!

getting a bank loan - even if you qualify for one, is a lengthy process.
If your landlord can't hold off for two more weeks, you might try calling churches or other chartiable organizations that might help you.

If worse comes to worse, you can try one of those payday loan places, but those are probably the worst places to borrow from as they charge such high rates of interest.

Go to your bank and see if you can qualify for a small amount, short term loan. Unless you have a credit history from something, you probably won't qualify for any type of loan.

You could ask your boss for an advance on you pay to take care of your rent. Or you could get a get a second job -- something with tips like pizza delivery or immediate pay like babysitting.

You could also try talking to your landlord and see if you can work something out to pay the rent late.
