I'm not sure I understand what you're asking when you say "the year of or for Cancer."
Anyway, it will depend upon the degree of the Cancer sun; whether it's early (0 to 10 degrees), middle, or late (20 to 30 degrees). Not all Cancer suns will experience the same things in 2008. So if you could post the date of birth and year, which will give me the exact degree, I could help you out a bit more. And much will be influenced by the other planetary placements as well, but the sun degree is a good general start.
