I purchased a Norfolk Island pine last night, it is potted and I can plant it or use it again next year. While looking at the tree and starting to put lights on it, I noticed the top is wider than the bottom, kinda looks like it is upside down! Strange looking tree for sure! I m afraid the decorations will topple the tree.........

Get the shears out!!! We had a tree one year that was crooked and my husband was about 3 sheets to the wind and got a string and hung it from the ceiling!!! Was a nice conversation piece!!! The kids were embarrassed and didn't want to bring their friends home!! Wish he was here to do it now!!!

Slk don't know what to say? Or suggest. Were you doing your yoga exercises, on our head when you looked at it. LOL.

Bad tree DNA.

Put it the other way up, cut off the roots and stump, and dump it back in the pot. Don't forget the Angel on top. If you have not got a granny, find one.LOL

As fo snakes in Christmas trees, that could be scary.

that is the normal shape of the tree -- like a lot of ladies more at the top than at the bottom -- when you put it outside after xmass remember if it gets say below 25 or 26 it will die so on real cold nights you will have to cover it!!! have one in my sun room that is almost 9 ft tall -- have to get rid of it next year or top it!!! they do not require much water!!!

The snake in the Christmas tree in Florida was a corn snake...... not a rattler.

That is weird, Silkie girl. I also bought a planted tree that I hopefully will be able to use next year. I forgot what kind it is but I think it'll need transplanting, soon.

Merry Christmas. :+}

Trees like people come in different (allbeit similar) shapes.
My father-in-law used to "build" his tree the way it wanted it to looked by literally moving branches from one side to the other
and/or shortening same (careful, they're almost impossible to lengthen)

I would love to buy a real tree but the possibility of bugs and mold and pollen are not something my son can tolerate with his allergies and asthma.
