It reminds of terms that pre-teens might use because they are embarrased to use real words like pregnant and pregnancy.

It is just internet lingo same as some of the others like ttc, BD, DPO, LOL, etc. It is just for fun and it is popular right now with all the text messaging and stuff. People just think it is catchy and there is nothing wrong with it.

yes, I hate when people say preggers or prego. Why not just use pregnant? What's wrong with adoption, anyway. Some people are just stupid to make those remarks.
