They start to bend from just walking but some people put those shoe horns in their shoes when they are not using them. That may straighten them out to a certain extent but I think that is a natural process of wear and tear of a shoe.

As you may know, Nike originates in Japan. I don't know where you are, but I'll give you all the information I can regarding your question: I would call (Oregon) 503-671-6300 OR use their 1-800-344-6543 toll-free number. This is the number listed at their corporate headquarters located at 1 Bowerman Dr. Beaverton, Or. 97005-6453 (I found this by typing: Nike/Corporate office/Locations into my home page search engine). As of 4:06pm 12-21-07, I will assume Eastern time since none was specified, the corporate people listed at: Who is the CEO of Nike/Name/Location: Mr. Mark G. Parker,CEO; Mr.Charles D. Denson, President of Nike Brand; Mr Gary M DeStefano, President of Global Operations; Mr. Donald W. Blair, Chief Finanicial Officer/Vice President. If the people at the 1-800 number can't give you the answer you seek, ask for the phone number and location where you may find Mr. Charles D. Denson. Since he is the President of Nike Brand, IF you have to go that high for your answer, he should know. In my opinion, if he can't tell you, he needs to "find the door." You know what I mean?

Not bending your foot. It's hard so it's best to just forget about it. Materials get old and worn and they just fall apart. It's life.
