I am not much of a hugger except for my children and a few who mean a lot to me. These people get hugs all the time.
I would give hugs to Ja'aj, Ron, Smokin Gun, Moon, you and your wife if we ever met just because I would be so happy to finally meet the people I have liked for so long on here. Your wife would deserve an extra hug for being the one who puts up with you. LOL

sometimes I'm not so sure if I should hug someone...like... I don't want to hurt them. I've only sincerely hugged someone a couple times. And yeah...there usually at weddings or funerals when I know it's the right time for a hug.

When I was in my teens, 20's, and even 30's, I did all I could to avoid hugging people. If I had a Patient die, I'd envy those who could go and hug the grieving family. BUT, as I got older, and realized just how precious and fragile life is, something changed me. I hug people daily, now that I'm 46. I hug the Families after the loss of a loved one, the Patient who is on their death bed, those who need a hug when going through a rough time, those who are trying to heal with a former problem, but, the funny thing is, I still have trouble hugging my own Parents! The people who gave me life. NOW, what's up with THAT!?!?!? I'm working on it though.
Good question- (((HUGS)))

I don't walk around hugging lots of people, but for those that I do hug, I hug a lot. And when I do it is a sincere hug. It's not one of those put one arm around the shoulder squeeze type hugs. They are usually the full open arm big hug.

This is such a good question for me. I come from a really dysfunctional family, showing affection was difficult. I married a man from Argentina, they are huggers, kissers, even to strangers. I hate gatherings because I feel like so awkward hugging ..But I learned to hug someone when I really care.

only when they want me to hug them. It's good to be hugged sometimes. But i only hug those that i fell comfortable hugging like my church family. My family aren't much of huggers i can't even remember the last time my parents ever gave me hug n it's sad in a way.

My kids taught me how to do it really and I thank them every day with a "bear hug" back.
I like to drink and dance at weddings, and get the latest gossip on funerals.
