some have suggested using yahoo messenger/ video chat. Will this work??

No it will not work. First you need 2 ids to use yahoo because if you are logged onto computer at home with yahoo then you can't log on at work. Second if you have 2 ids then someone needs to be home to let you have approval to view web cam.

What you need to do is get a web address for your web cam so you can log onto the website and then you can view web cam.

i have told you in the first post, http://www.orb.com/ this will let you view your web cam from your home computer any where you want... plus it's free...

it will also give you access to your file system from any where you are.

I use a program called CamWiz. You will have to buy a license to be able to view remote. It will use any webcam for a security system. Motion senses, etc.
