If answerers just outline how to do the problem instead of doing it, that would eliminate errors of omission (unintended errors). Answers which require computations but are given without any should be suspect. There are jerks and frauds and people who think the world is their chat room floating around, and Yahoo is trying to tame them.

I have seen many wrong answers. Some may be deliberate but I think many are not deliberate. In my opinion, providing the correct answer may enable the student to cheat, but the student is the one who is harmed if he/she simply copies the answer without understanding how the answer was derived. Many of the incorrect answers seem to be math errors or silly mistakes that can be easily spotted if you understand how the answer was derived.

I don't think YA! should be your ultimate source for info. There may be people who give you the wrong answer and there may be people who give you the correct answer. If you find an answer that you think might be correct, check on Google or ask a family member/friend and see if they agree.

I have sometimes seen blatently wrong answers. It never occured to me they would be deliberate.

Use YA as a guide - but do your own research. Then, if you are wrong (say - the website you chose was crook) - at least you know why you were wrong.
