f(a+3) = f(x) where x = a+3
= 4(a+3) + 2
= 4a+12+2
=4a + 14

f(x) = 4x + 2

put x = a + 3

f(a+3) = 4(a+3) + 2

f(a+3) = 4a + 12 + 2

f(a+3) = 4a +14 = 2(2a+7)

since, X=a+3
therefore, f(a+3)=4(a+3)+2
f(a+3)=4a+12+2
f(a+3)=4a+14
