If I get the system, a hard drive, live plus games, and probably a wireless adaptor It will be over 500 dollars. Is the waiting and amount of money worth it?

YES. Completely worth it if you have friends that play and are going to get Xbox Live. Without Live 360 is nothing! Go get CoD4 and be prepared to waste your life playing it online. It's the greatest game I have ever played,it's better than Gaylo(halo)3.
-The system comes with a hard drive so that won't be extra and if you have a router then all u need is an ethernet cable.

Many of my friends highly reccomened an Xbox 360. The 360 has way the best internet play out of all the consoles. The graphics are very good and detailed on most of the games.
The only problem is which I found is the actual noise of the console. It seems very loud, maybe its the cooling system inside, i'm not entirely sure. I think you should definateley get one as long as your have enough money. =]

Absolutely! An X360 is worth the money. i bought mine 1 year ago and boy is it fun. halo 3, assassins creed, Gears of war, all great games! Plus the amazing online. your extra 60 bucks a year to play online is the best 60 smackers you'll ever spend. In conclusion, don't get a PS3 or Wii, X360 for the holidays is great.
