Thucdides, The Pelopenisian War.

It very possibly could be true. Soldiers are taught to obey commands and not think for themselves.

No, not at all. George Marshall was a great thinker and doer, as was Hyman Rickover. Many scholars were in the military. I knew some, I was taught by some of the best. West Point, Annapolis and Colorado Springs could go one on one with any school.
How much time did you do in the military Frosty? I did 21 years, got several degrees. Every Air force officer has at the minimum a Bachelors, most Masters or higher. Every Senior NCO has a minimum of an AA or AS most also have a B.S. Or M.S.
You may be talking about the 50's but you just insulted thousands and thousands of men and women. I hope you have the intestinal fortitude to apologize for this horrible thing you said.

A Greek philosopher that Frosty referred to on her libelous idiotic statement.
Hey Patton, the other guy was not that stupid. Guess you did not get any of his genes. Too bad, such apussy as you would share his name.

Probably true in Ancient Greece, hardly true today.
Frosty, you should have your ignorantass kicked for saying something so stupid. Top contributor to what the soldiers "welfare"? I doubt you could get a date on a troop train.
